Ideas Grow on Trees

The book I am reading is called “The Path of Least Resistance” by Robert Fritz and a most amazing book! It talks about creating anything, the importance of creating and the creative cycle; about once we make a conscious choice to be the predominant creative force in our own lives, that life is changed forever. He’s not writing about only some of us being creative, we can all become creative.
It’s funny how life works. We can look back at the point in our lives where we made a decision, but didn’t even know we made it until now. Ten years ago I chose to expand in to the “work” field; first the travel business, then sales which led to starting and developing my own Home Staging business. After speaking with Realtors and homeowners and what they want, their experiences, and some of the outcomes, I’ve realized and found Real Estate to be exciting, and I love to help people. From the book, Robert Fritz writes, “possibilities open us, projects are born from other projects, and the practice of being true to yourself, your project, your vision of life becomes more and more effortless.” Sounds sort of like networking, or seeking out others who have gone through the creative process in some way or another to learn from them.
He also writes, “If you begin to create the results you want today, you are more prepared to create the results you want ten years from now. Each new creation gives you added experience and knowledge of your own creative process.” So let’s all create something new!

Staging for “Combined” Homes
Combining two houses full of furniture from “bachelor and bachelorette” is not easy, and something you probably wouldn’t discuss much before walking down the isle. Living your lives separately has created your own style whether you like it or not. You may have too many of one thing; lamps, sofas, beds, more than 2 sets of dishes, or not much of anything, but it’s fun to create your new home together.
First, decide what items you want to keep, choose paint colors, and pieces you love. I’m sure there will be compromising when a piece is a floral pattern. In my opinion, you should create a home that’s more masculine in taste; it’s a lot easier for a woman to live with masculine tastes than a man when furniture and accessories don’t fit in the plan. Also guys, please be sensitive to your lady’s feelings when you want to use your favorite sports team colors! We bought patio umbrellas this past weekend, and the Bronco fan that my husband is, wanted one orange umbrella and one blue umbrella, both to be set up on the same patio! Do I need to say we bought two orange umbrellas?
If you’re having trouble placing your furniture in the right spot, or choosing colors and furniture pieces to stay in your home (I’ll also referee), please contact me for a redesign consultation. My report comes in a nice binder with pictures and suggestions, and the cost is based on the size of your home and how many rooms you want help with.
